A group of women attorneys at Woods Rogers PLC surprised Bethany Hall this week by presenting its 19 residents with stockings stuffed with holiday goodies.

The attorneys also filled bags with baby gifts for each of the four infants currently living with their mothers at Bethany House, which focuses on women with addictions. Bethany Hall residents also received a pizza party to celebrate the opening of the stockings.

“We’re excited to be able to provide gifts for the residents at Bethany Hall and their children,” said Hope Cothran, a member of the Woods Rogers Women Attorneys group and a member of the Bethany Hall board. “With the state funding cuts for Bethany Hall, we knew funds would be scarce for something extra for the residents this holiday season.  The stockings and baby gifts were a fun way for us to provide some holiday cheer.”

About Bethany Hall: Bethany Hall is a residential treatment program for adult women recovering from substance abuse. Its  mission is to provide a safe, supportive and healing environment for women in early stages of recovery as they acquire the tools for independent living.
