Woods Rogers Recognized by Chambers & Partners

Chambers & Partners, publishers of the well-respected “Guides to the World’s Leading Lawyers,” has identified Woods Rogers PLC as one of Virginia’s leading firms for litigation. The prestigious publication also singled out William Poff and James Jennings as leading individuals in litigation while Paul Thomson was noted for his work in environmental law.

Chambers & Partners recognized Poff for his extensive commercial and civil litigation experience. Jennings, the publication writes, is “a renowned litigator with a great courtroom presence.” Chambers & Partners recognized Thomson for the first time this year in the area of environmental law. Interviewees said Mr. Thomson “is a dominant environmental lawyer in the southwest of Virginia.”

To compile its rankings, Chambers & Partners conducted thousands of interviews. About half of their interviews are with clients, while the balance is made up of opinions from colleagues and competitors.
