Frances Elizabeth “Beth” Burgin is an associate at Woods Rogers. Beth practices civil litigation with a focus on commercial and intellectual property litigation. Beth also specializes in issues related to Virginia wine law and has experience representing Virginia wineries and vineyards.
Originally from Floyd, Virginia, Beth graduated magna cum laude from Hollins University in 2004 with honors in English and creative writing. Prior to law school she attended the Sorensen Institute for Political Leadership at the University of Virginia.
Beth earned her J.D. from the William & Mary School of Law in 2007. While she was in law school she was the senior notes editor of the William & Mary Journal of Women and the Law and was also a member of the William & Mary moot court team. Her note titled “Fire Where There Is No Flame: The Constitutionality of Single-Sex Education in the Commonwealth” was published in the William & Mary Journal of Women and the Law in 2007.
