H. Allen Glover, Jr. joined Woods Rogers in 1976 and became a principal in the firm in 1982. His practice is concentrated in the areas of public utility law, eminent domain law, administrative law, health law and corporate law. He regularly represents electric utilities and other public service companies before the Virginia State Corporation Commission and other administrative agencies. Allen is a 1971 graduate of the University of Virginia, where he was elected to Phi Beta Kappa. He attended the University of Virginia School of Law, where he served on the Editorial Board of the Virginia Law Review. Upon graduation in 1975, he was elected to the Order of the Coif. Following law school, Allen served as Law Clerk to the Hon. Pierce Lively, formerly Chief Judge of the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit. Allen is a member of the American, Virginia and Roanoke Bar Associations. He has served on the Board of Governors of the Administrative Law Section of the Virginia State Bar. He is also a former president of the Phi Beta Kappa Association of the Roanoke Area. He is listed in The Best Lawyers in America in the categories of energy law and administrative law.
