Matthew P. Pritts is a principal at Woods Rogers PLC with a concentration in litigation, transportation law and construction law. He is an experienced litigator in state and federal courts on matters ranging from personal injury suits, real estate suits, FELA suits, intellectual property litigation, commercial disputes and construction law claims. He has given presentations to various groups on construction law issues and the new electronic discovery rules.
Matt is named in The Best Lawyers in America in the specialty of Transportation Law. He is a member of the American, Virginia and Roanoke Bar Associations, and has been active in professional organizations. He currently serves as the Chair for the Virginia Bar Association's Transportation Law Section. He has served on the Board of Governors of the Virginia State Bar's Construction and Public Contracts Law Section. Matt was admitted to the Virginia bar in 1992. He graduated from Carnegie-Mellon University with a B.S. in Public Policy and Management in 1985. He received his J.D. from Washington & Lee University in 1992 where he was a member of the Order of the Coif and a Staff Writer for the Washington & Lee Law Review. Matt was the Co-author of the "Annual Survey of Virginia Construction Law" in the University of Richmond Law Review in 1993.
