Christopher W. Stevens, a native of Roanoke, is a principal practicing in the firm’s litigation section. Chris was admitted to the Virginia Bar in 1997 and is a member of the Virginia State Bar, Virginia Association of Defense Attorneys, Defense Research Institute, Roanoke Bar Association and is a past associate of the American Inns of Court. He was the President of the Roanoke Bar Association’s Young Lawyers’ Committee from 2001-2003 and a board member of the Roanoke Bar from 2002-2003. He received his J.D. from the University of Richmond, T.C. Williams School of Law in 1997 and received a B.A. in history from Hampden-Sydney College in 1992. His primary areas of practice have included general civil litigation, commercial litigation, insurance defense, personal injury, construction litigation and worker's compensation.
Chris has been named in The Best Lawyers in America in the Insurance Law area. Chris also has been selected by Virginia Business magazine as one of its Legal Elite in the Civil Litigation practice area.

- Represent developers, contractors, architects and engineers in matters related to construction, insurance coverage and personal injury claims.
- Successfully represented an Estate in a wrongful death action arising from a boating accident (resulting in 2.75 million dollar recovery).
- Defend large luxury resort in personal injury actions.
- Represented property owner in partition suit concerning multi-million dollar piece of property.
- Represented Contractor in arbitration proceeding in relation to a dispute with an Owner that involved construction of a national chain hotel.
- Represented Contractor in dispute with Owner in relation to 3+ million dollar addition/renovation project of a nursing home.
