W. McIlwaine Thompson, Jr. is Of Counsel to Woods Rogers PLC. Mr. Thompson practices corporate law representing companies in diverse fields including biotechnology, high-tech, education, and manufacturing. He assists entrepreneurs in preparing appropriate organizational structures, managing federal and state securities issues relating to financing their businesses, negotiating investment terms and conditions for such financings and drafting contracts associated with the businesses. He serves on the boards of a number of privately-held companies and has been active in many non-profit organizations in the Charlottesville area as set forth below.
