Elizabeth Guilbert Perrow is a principal in Roanoke office of Woods Rogers PLC. She is a trial lawyer and practices primarily in the area of medical malpractice defense. Elizabeth has extensive experience representing health care providers and has successfully defended physicians in a variety of specialties, nurses, and hospitals. She is also trained in Collaborative Process, a unique manner for the resolution of divorces.

Elizabeth has tried jury cases in Circuit Courts and participated in numerous mediations. She has lectured extensively on risk management issues to various professional groups in Virginia. She is the author of Chapter 4 (defense perspective) of Medical Malpractice Law in Virginia published by Virginia CLE. Elizabeth is also involved in various legal associations and is a Board Member of the Roanoke Bar Association. She is a Board Member of the Virginia Association of Defense Attorneys, and served as the past Chairman of the Medical Malpractice Section of that organization in 2005-2006.

She has received numerous awards over the course of her career including receiving an Award for Recognition for Significant Service to the Young Lawyers Conference of the Virginia State Bar for organizing Wills for Heroes in Roanoke, Virginia in 2004 and was recognized as Boss of the Year by the Roanoke Valley Legal Secretaries Association (RVLSA) in 2003. She received the President's Volunteer Service Award in 2006, 2007, 2008 and 2009 for contributing more than 100 hours to various types of community service and legal organizations. Elizabeth was also recognized by Virginia Lawyers Weekly for receiving one of the largest defense verdicts in 2007. In 2008, she received the Young Lawyer of the Year Award from the Roanoke Bar Association.  She was also named one of Virginia's Rising Stars by SuperLawyers Magazine in 2008 and 2009.  More recently, in 2009, she was recognized as one of The Roanoker Magazine's top attorney in the area of Malpractice and named one of the Blue Ridge Business Journal's 20 Under 40. 

Elizabeth graduated from Lynchburg College cum laude with a B.A. in Philosophy and Political Science and from Oklahoma City University School of Law summa cum laude with a J.D.. She received the award for Outstanding Woman Graduate in her law school class and served as Articles Editor for the Oklahoma City University School of Law, Law Review.
