Patice L. Holland is an associate at Woods Rogers in the firm’s Litigation section.  Patice, a Franklin County native, graduated cum laude from George Mason University in 2004 with a Bachelor of Arts in Government and International Politics and double minors in Legal and African American studies.  Patice earned her J.D. from Stetson University College of Law in Gulfport, Florida in 2007. 


While in law school Patice served as Chief Justice of Stetson University’s Moot Court Board and competed in the ABA National Appellate Advocacy Competition, becoming a regional finalist, and the National Moot Court Competition, advancing to the regional semi-finals.  Patice also served as President of the Black Law Student Association, was named Student of the Year in 2006 and had the opportunity to work as a judicial intern for the Honorable Judge Donald E. Horrox and the Honorable Patrick Caddell of the Sixth Judicial Circuit in Pinellas County, Florida. 


At graduation, Patice received the Edward D. Foreman Most Distinguished Student Award, Victor O. Wheele Trial Advocacy Award for excellence in trial advocacy, and was also awarded the William F. Blews Pro Bono Service Award.  Prior to joining Woods Rogers, Patice worked as a diversity fellow/law clerk at Carlton Fields P.A. in Tampa, Florida.   While working at Carlton Fields, Patice co-authored “Compendium of State Timeshare Law:  Kentucky,” published by the American Bar Association in 2007.
