Practice Areas
Carter Lee is an associate at Woods Rogers in the firm’s litigation group. He is a Franklin County native and attended North Cross School. After graduation from Washington & Lee University, Carter enlisted in the U.S. Army where he received his commission after completion of Officer Candidate School. After five years, he left active duty with the rank of Captain and joined the National Guard while in law school at the University of Richmond. During this time, he served as a primary staff officer for two battalions and currently works in the office of the 29th Infantry Division's Staff Judge Advocate.
While in law school, Carter served as Secretary of the Federalist Society, was selected to be a student member of the John Marshall Inn of Court and tried cases in Richmond District Court and Circuit Court as a participant in the Richmond Commonwealth Attorney’s Clinic. He graduated from the University of Richmond School of Law magna cum laude in 2009.
