Joshua Treece is an associate practicing in the firm’s Labor & Employment and Litigation sections. Josh focuses his employment practice on issues related to E-Verify and I-9 compliance. His litigation practice concentrates on matters pertaining to contract disputes and business torts.
Josh, a North Carolina native, graduated in 2002 from Appalachian State University in the top 10% of his class, receiving a B.S. in psychology with honors. While at Appalachian State, Josh joined Phi Kappa Phi honors society, and was nominated by the Honors Committee for the “Outstanding/Distinguished Senior Award.”
Josh received his law degree from William & Mary School of Law in 2009. While at William & Mary, Josh received honors for excellence in research, writing, analysis, and client relations. Between his first and second year, Josh worked for the United States Nuclear Regulatory Commission in Rockville, Maryland in their Materials Litigation and Enforcement Division. Throughout his second year, Josh clerked for the Honorable F. Bradford Stillman, United States Magistrate Judge for the Eastern District of Virginia.
Prior to attending law school, Josh served as a law clerk with the United States Department of Justice, Office of the United States Trustee in Atlanta, Georgia. Josh also spent four years working as an investigator for a South Carolina firm.
