Nick Albu is an associate practicing in the Firm’s Corporate and Business law section. Nick focuses his practice on business matters for corporate clients and financial institutions. In this regard, Nick regularly counsels Credit Unions on state and federal regulatory compliance issues and is a Certified Compliance Officer by the National Association of Federal Credit Unions.
Nick is also a member of the firm’s Center for Education and the Law. He has experience assisting individuals and organizational clients in an array of matters involving federal and state agencies, as well as local authorities. In addition, Nick’s experience includes handling business litigation matters in federal and state court.
Nick received his undergraduate degree in Economics from Appalachian State University in 2005 and his law degree from Washington and Lee University School of Law in 2009. During law school, he served as a member of the Journal of Energy, Climate and the Environment and the Environmental Law Digest. Prior to law school, Nick worked in the underwriting department of a workers’ compensation insurance company.
