Medical Malpractice Paralegal

Woods Rogers is seeking qualified, motivated applicants for an experienced medical malpractice paralegal. The ideal candidate:

  • will possess an Associate’s degree in paralegal studies, a Paralegal Certificate, or comparable experience managing cases from inception to end in the setting of medical malpractice litigation and trial, including collecting, tracking, and organizing medical records, preparing medical summaries, and chronologies, locating and summarizing pertinent medical literature, and assisting with finding and communicating with expert witnesses;

Commercial Real Estate Paralegal

Woods Rogers is seeking candidates for a Commercial Real Estate Paralegal in our Charlottesville, Virginia office. The ideal candidate will have:

  • significant experience in both residential and commercial real estate transactions including preparation of warranty deeds and deeds of trust;

Marketing Specialist

Woods Rogers seeks candidates for a Marketing Specialist in our Richmond, Virginia office. The Marketing Specialist will be responsible for supporting the firm’s marketing director and marketing manager in a variety of functions. This role will help develop and execute efforts to position the firm in Richmond for legal services to both existing and potential clients in the market. As needed, the specialist’s role will support marketing efforts for the firm’s Charlottesville and other offices. The person in this role can take direction but execute independently and will have the opportunity to lead marketing and business development initiatives in a collaborative, service-focused environment.

Essential Functions include:

  • Active role within the marketing team responsible for logistics for Woods Rogers’ hosting of a legal conference scheduled to be held in Richmond in April 2022;
  • Researching and proactively identifying opportunities for business development in the Richmond market
  • Leading planning efforts for seminar and/or networking events in Richmond, including venue and catering logistics, developing invitation lists, and assisting with content and agenda creation;
  • Working with Richmond and Charlottesville attorneys on their annual holiday program for clients;
  • Support other marketing and firm initiatives as directed; and
  • Support marketing and business development efforts with general administrative tasks as needed.

 Ideal candidate will have:

  • Proficiency in PowerPoint design, Constant Contact template design, and in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Knowledge of Zoom Webinar and other webinar platforms
  • Knowledge of WordPress for website content management and maintenance
  • Knowledge of social media channels for marketing and business development
  • Experience managing events – from small groups to 100+ attendees
  • Knowledge of Richmond business community and trends
  • Ability to multi-task and manage multiple deadlines


  • Bachelor’s or 2-year degree in communications, marketing, public relations, or related field
  • 3+ years of experience in a marketing, business development, or communications role, experience in a professional services field (legal, financial, accounting) a plus
  • Excellent writing and proofreading skills as well as attention to detail
  • Strong technical and organizational skills
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office including PowerPoint and Publisher
  • Ability to interact with senior managers and partner-level attorneys
  • Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite a plus
  • Must be able to lift boxes, as needed, of approximately 10 lbs
  • Ability to travel 15% of the time to other offices (both day trips and overnights)
