Since its earliest days, Woods Rogers has been committed to helping improve the business, cultural, educational, and social environment in the Roanoke Valley and in the communities surrounding our offices in Charlottesville, Lynchburg, and Richmond. Our belief in giving back to the community includes service as well as financial commitment.
We encourage our attorneys to take action in many forms, including providing pro bono legal services, volunteering, providing leadership, or being a member of numerous civic, charitable, and cause-driven organizations.
Woods Rogers’ community support encompasses four main areas:
- Arts and Culture
Center in the Square, Jefferson Center, Mill Mountain Theatre, Roanoke Symphony Orchestra, and the Taubman Museum of Art are just a few of the nonprofit organizations Woods Rogers supports throughout the year.
Woods Rogers is dedicated to enhancing educational opportunities, especially for at-risk children and youths. Some of the nonprofit organizations we assist are the Al Pollard Memorial Foundation, Blue Ridge Literacy, Boys & Girls Clubs, and Junior Achievement.
- Business Development
Woods Rogers strives to help maintain a healthy, expanding economy in the Roanoke area by providing funding, leadership, and membership in organizations such as the Chambers of Commerce in Roanoke and Charlottesville, the Lynchburg Regional Alliance, the Roanoke-Blacksburg Technology Council, and the Roanoke Regional Partnership.
- Health and Social Services
Woods Rogers provides support to numerous nonprofit organizations devoted to improving the lives of people in our community. These include the Carilion Clinic Foundation, the Centra Foundation, DePaul Community Resources, HumanKind, the Roanoke Rescue Mission, Total Action for Progress, and the Legal Aid Society of Roanoke Valley.
