Walton Milam works with Woods Rogers’ Appellate, Intellectual Property, Litigation, and Administrative and Regulatory practice groups. He focuses on helping businesses efficiently resolve commercial disputes.

Having clerked for the Honorable Michael F. Urbanski in the Western District of Virginia and served as an extern for the Honorable David J. Novak in the Eastern District of Virginia, Walton has worked on and is familiar with all facets of complex civil and criminal matters.

Walton, a Danville, Va. native, works in the Woods Rogers Roanoke office and litigates throughout the Commonwealth.

He is a cum laude graduate from University of Richmond Law School, where he received a concentration certificate in Intellectual Property and earned the ABA/Bureau of National Affairs, Inc. Award for Excellence as the Top Intellectual Property Student in his class. He holds a B.A. in economics from Hampden-Sydney College in Farmville, Va. and attended high school at Woodberry Forest in Orange, Va.

Walton is an avid skier and outdoorsman who enjoys spending time at a family farm in Southern Virginia. His interests include grain agriculture, timber management, and wildlife conservation.
