John Grove has been a mainstay of the Roanoke legal community since graduating from law school in 1973. The Roanoke native focuses his practice on domestic and family law and also represents businesses, both public and private, and individuals in a variety of legal matters.

He served as chairman of the Virginia Bar Association’s Domestic Relations Section Council and is a member of its Litigation, Family, and Business Law sections. John is a past president of the Roanoke Bar Association.

John has been recognized by Virginia Business magazine as one of its Legal Elite in the area of family and domestic relations.  Martindale-Hubbell ranks John with an AV Preeminent rating for Litigation.

John attended the University of the South and graduated from Hampden-Sydney College. He received his law degree from the University of South Carolina, where he served on the South Carolina Law Review and Honor Council.
