Talfourd is approaching 60 years of legal service to clients. He has practiced in the areas of construction, corporate and business, real estate, and trusts and estate planning since 1965.

Talfourd has served in a number of capacities for the firm, including managing principal and head of the Business Law group, and is included in The Best Lawyers in America in Corporate, Real Estate, and Trust and Estates Law. He also holds a Martindale-Hubbell AV Preeminent Peer Review rating.

After graduating from Princeton University, Talfourd served as an officer in the U.S. Navy until 1962. He then attended law school at the University of Virginia, where he was articles editor of the Virginia Law Review, a member of the Raven Society  and a member of the Order of the Coif honor society.
