Roanoke, Va.— Woods Rogers PLC is pleased to announce attorneys Elizabeth Perrow and Elizabeth Burgin Waller are among Virginia Lawyers Weekly’s 2017 class of “Leaders in the Law” and “Up & Coming Lawyers”.

Elizabeth Perrow—a member of the 2017 “Leaders in the Law” class— is chair of Woods Rogers’ Medical Malpractice Defense team. She has extensive experience representing healthcare providers and has successfully defended physicians, nurses, and hospitals.  Now in its 12th year, the “Leaders in the Law” award recognizes attorneys across Virginia who are setting the standard for other lawyers in Virginia. “Leaders” are known for changing the law, serving the community, changing practice or improving Virginia’s justice system, among other accomplishments.

Elizabeth (Beth) Burgin Waller—recognized in the “Up & Coming Lawyers” class—has a broad complex commercial and civil litigation practice, representing clients in federal and state courts. Beth is an active member of Woods Rogers Emerging Growth, Intellectual Property, and Litigation practice teams where she counsels young and growing companies on their legal needs, including intellectual property protection; represents corporations and individuals in a variety of litigation; and uses her experience in technology to lead the firm’s cybersecurity clients in developing cyber preparedness plans and navigating breaches.

2017 marks the second year Virginia Lawyers Weekly has chosen its “Up & Coming Lawyers” list, which recognizes attorneys across Virginia who are making their mark within their first ten years of practice.  These are the lawyers who are the leaders of the profession in the future.

Elizabeth and Beth will be honored at the Virginia Lawyers Weekly annual reception on October 26 in Richmond, Va.
