“It is a pleasure to see Robin Wood’s reputation and diligent work as an attorney recognized in the inaugural Virginia Lawyers Weekly Hall of Fame,” said Woods Rogers President Dan Summerlin.

Robin has more than 50 years’ experience in business and corporate law, family law, commercial litigation, and employment law. He has tried and/or mediated more than 400 cases, and has argued cases before the Virginia Supreme Court and the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals. In addition to his courtroom experience, Robin, as an adjunct professor and leading civil procedure scholar, taught Virginia civil procedure to hundreds of current Virginia attorneys.  His extensive experience gives him the background and knowledge to advise clients about their legal issues and to guide them to appropriate and cost-effective resolutions of their legal concerns.

Rick Sorenson, Managing Director of Woods Rogers’ Lynchburg office added, “Robin is a true leader in the law and also understands the value of teamwork—having been a head referee for ACC football for more than 25 years—finally, his service to the community is outstanding. All of these traits come together to demonstrate why Robin was selected for this unique honor.”

Robin is based in Woods Rogers’ Lynchburg office and was part of the team of attorneys who joined the firm in 2016 when Woods Rogers and Edmunds & Williams merged.  Woods Rogers PLC is the 7th largest firm in Virginia, according to Virginia Lawyers Weekly’s annual ranking.
