Autumn Rose Visser, a former in-house corporate attorney for a company in California, has joined Woods Rogers as an Associate, enhancing the firm’s business practice capabilities.

Visser, a Northwestern Iowa native, has extensive experience representing clients in all phases of corporate law, including corporate governance, commercial transactions, mergers and acquisitions, supply chain issues and agreements, and consumer law concerns.

“My focus is on providing assistance to businesses so that they are able to maximize profit and market share potential while minimizing risk.” Visser says.

After meeting attorneys at Woods Rogers, she said, “I wanted to join them. Their passion for the law and the community is contagious.” She will be joining Woods Rogers’ extensive team of business corporate attorneys to assist clients in finding solutions.

“We are thrilled to have someone with Autumn’s experience joining our business group,” said Dan Summerlin, principal at Woods Rogers. “Having been in house counsel,  responsible for the day  to day legal operations of a large national corporation, her experience and skill set will be great additions to the firm.  Her corporate background will enable her to have a unique perspective on our clients’ needs and concerns.”

Visser has a bachelor’s degree from the University of Northern Iowa, where she graduated Summa Cum Laude, with the Purple and Old Gold Award for Excellence in Public Relations. In 2008 she earned her law degree from Pepperdine University. She is licensed in California and Virginia.

Through law school, Visser was employed as an intern and then hired as a Corporate Counsel at Zodiac Marine & Pool North America, Inc. She took the appropriate measures to ensure the business was protected on all sides, from managing benefit plan compliance to trademarks to ITAR.

Visser lived in Pyatigorsk, Russia for two summers during college to teach English. She enjoys the outdoors and playing and coaching basketball. She once rode her bike from San Francisco to Los Angeles. Joining Woods Rogers will bring Autumn closer to her family including her parents, sister, and brother-in-law who live in neighboring cities.
