Neal has extensive experience in all areas of corporate law, including mergers and acquisitions, contracts, computer law, creditors’ rights, employee benefits, financing, intellectual property, tax, succession planning, real estate, and venture capital.

Neal is a frequent speaker on topics of interest to business owners and has authored chapters about corporate legal practice and limited liability companies in Virginia.

Neal joined Woods Rogers Vandeventer Black (WRVB) in 1988 after completing undergraduate work in accounting at Virginia Tech magna cum laude and earning his law degree from the College of William & Mary. He was a member of the Order of the Coif, an honor society, and the William & Mary Law Review.

He holds a BV Distinguished Rating from Martindale-Hubbell and is recognized as a Best Lawyer in America and by Virginia Business magazine as a Legal Elite.

Neal is a board member of the Al Pollard Memorial Foundation which raises scholarship funds in the name of a Roanoke corporate leader.
