Russel S. (Russ) Wade

Russ represents corporate debtors, creditors, lenders, and other parties in bankruptcy cases, related litigation, and out-of-court restructurings. His experience also includes commercial dispute resolution and litigation, internal workplace investigations, land-use and zoning matters, and maritime transactions. 

Russ maintains an active pro bono practice and serves on the board of the Amara Legal Center, which provides free legal services to survivors of human sex trafficking. He is active in his children’s elementary school.

Prior to joining Woods Rogers, Russ practiced restructuring and insolvency law in the debt finance department of an international law firm. He served as a law clerk to the Honorable Rosemary Gambardella (ret.) of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of New Jersey.

Before his legal career, he advised U.S. Senator Tim Kaine on domestic policy, served as a legislative aide to Virginia Delegate Jeion Ward, and worked on political campaigns.
