Get To Know Ryan
Ryan’s practice concentrates on litigation and dispute resolution, with a focus on maritime and admiralty law and government contracts.
Ryan completed a summer clerkship at Woods Rogers in 2024. While attending the William & Mary School of Law, he was a Lead Articles Editor for the William & Mary Law Review and participated in the Election Law Society, where he served as the co-chair for Election Engagement. He was awarded the CALI Awards for Criminal Law in 2022, Government Contracts in 2024, and International Criminal Law in 2025, and was elected to the Order of the Coif upon graduation. Ryan also served as a judicial intern under The Honorable Douglas E. Miller of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia.
Ryan grew up in Northern Virginia. While studying International Relations at William & Mary, he fell in love with the rich history of Colonial Williamsburg, which informed his decisions to stay at William & Mary for law school and to practice law in Southeast Virginia.
In his free time, Ryan loves boating on Lake Anna, learning about history, reading a good novel (still waiting for The Winds of Winter), and gaming with his former college hallmates.
