Woods Rogers Strengthens Key Practice Areas with Seven New Attorneys

Woods Rogers announces the addition of seven attorneys who have joined over recent weeks across its Virginia offices, expanding the firm’s capabilities in key practice areas, including bankruptcy, construction, labor and employment, intellectual property, cybersecurity, and litigation.

Charlottesville

Keith A. Jaworski, of counsel in the Construction & Government Contracts practice, leverages his litigation and risk-mitigation experience to deliver value to clients. He is a former U.S. Army Ranger and served in the U.S. Army JAG Corps as a prosecutor and legal advisor to the 75th Ranger Regiment. He earned his undergraduate and law degrees from Washington and Lee University.

Scott Koven, an associate in the Labor & Employment and Litigation & Dispute Resolution practices, counsels clients in preventing and defending against employment and other commercial disputes. Before joining Woods Rogers, Scott served as a judicial law clerk for the Hon. Daniel E. Ortiz on the Court of Appeals in Virginia. He earned his undergraduate degree from James Madison University and his law degree from the Washington and Lee University School of Law.

Norfolk

Ryan W. Weber, an associate in the Litigation & Dispute Resolution practice, concentrates on maritime and government contracts. Ryan completed the summer associate program at Woods Rogers in 2024. While attending William & Mary School of Law, he was a Lead Articles Editor for the William & Mary Law Review and participated in the Election Law Society, where he served as the co-chair for Election Engagement. Ryan also served as a judicial intern under The Hon. Douglas E. Miller of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia. He earned his undergraduate and law degrees from William & Mary.

Richmond

Alex Liubinskas is an associate in the Labor & Employment practice, focusing on management-side employment law and compliance issues. He helps business owners and HR professionals understand their legal obligations and helps protect them against employment claims. Before joining Woods Rogers, he served as a judicial law clerk to the Hon. David W. Lannetti and the Hon. Joseph C. Lindsey in Norfolk, Virginia. Alex earned his undergraduate degree from The College of William & Mary and his law degree from George Mason University’s Antonin Scalia Law School.

Roanoke

Brian H. Richardson, of counsel in the Bankruptcy & Creditors’ Rights practice, advises creditors, trustees, and distressed borrowers in insolvency matters, including bankruptcy, loan workouts, asset sales, and related disputes. He applies his background in commercial transactions to guide businesses and lenders in day-to-day corporate financing and problem solving. He earned his undergraduate degree from Brigham Young University and his law degree from Arizona State University’s Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law. 

Brenna E. Harman is an associate in the Labor & Employment practice, focusing on management-side employment matters. She counsels employers on compliance with workplace regulations, including the ADA, FMLA, and other federal and state employment laws. She is a former summer associate at Woods Rogers and served as a judicial intern under the Hon. Robert S. Ballou for the United States District Court of Western Virginia and the Hon. Jayne A. Pemberton for the Chesterfield Circuit Court. She earned her undergraduate degree from Virginia Tech and her law degree from the University of Richmond School of Law.

Madyson Kent, an associate in the Intellectual Property and Cybersecurity & Data Privacy practices, focuses on intellectual property protection, including patents, trademarks, copyrights, and trade secrets. With a background in neuroscience, Madyson advises clients across a variety of technical industries on safeguarding their intellectual property assets and enforcing their rights. Additionally, she advises clients on data privacy, cybersecurity risk management, and incident response. She previously completed the summer associate program at Woods Rogers. She earned her undergraduate degree from Virginia Tech and her law degree from Washington and Lee University School of Law.
