Get To Know Scott

Scott uses his litigation experience to help clients prevent and defend against employment claims and other commercial disputes. In addition to advising clients at all stages of complex litigation, he offers counsel on complying with federal and state laws regarding discrimination, harassment, wage and hour issues, and more.

Before joining Woods Rogers, Scott served as a judicial law clerk for the Hon. Daniel E. Ortiz on the Court of Appeals of Virginia. He also has prior experience in corporate legal matters such as restructuring and complex commercial litigation. During his time at Washington and Lee School of Law, Scott served as the Editor in Chief for the Washington and Lee Law Review. He also provided assistance to the Lexington area’s low-income residents as a legal extern for Blue Ridge Legal Services.

Scott loves getting outdoors and spending time with his wife, son, and two dogs, and on the weekends, you’ll find him hiking, off-roading, or golfing.
