The firm’s offices are located in Charlottesville, Lynchburg, Richmond, and Roanoke and we often serve as local counsel for out of state firms whose clients need representation in the Eastern District and Western District Courts of Virginia.

Our Profession

Our commitment to client service is equaled by commitment to our profession. Our attorneys regularly serve in leadership roles within legal organizations. Richard Maxwell and Lee Osborne have served in leadership roles with the Roanoke Bar Association.

Two of our attorneys were awarded the Roanoke Bar Association’s Silver Level Volunteer Service Award for providing at least 250 hours of community service, charitable professional services, and pro bono legal services in 2018. In many years, a number of our attorneys provide hours of pro bono service to nonprofits and legal aid societies–and in 2019, that number reached 700.

Six Woods Rogers attorneys have served as president of the Virginia Bar Association. For several years, Tom Winn served on the Virginia Bar Association’s Board of Governors, a role now filled by Victor Cardwell, Rick Sorenson is the current General Counsel of the Virginia Bar Association. Both Mark Loftis and Elizabeth Perrow served as President of the Virginia Association of Defense Attorneys.
