Elizabeth A. Perrow Selected as Fellow of the American Bar Foundation

Recognition

Elizabeth Guilbert Perrow, a Woods Rogers principal in the firm's Roanoke office, has been named a Fellow of the American Bar Foundation (ABF), an honorary distinction recognizing attorneys, judges, law faculty, and legal scholars who have demonstrated outstanding achievement in the legal profession and service to society.

Fellows membership is limited to approximately one percent of lawyers licensed to practice in the United States and its territories. Selection is based on peer nomination and recognizes individuals whose careers exemplify professional excellence and leadership.

Elizabeth is a trial lawyer whose practice focuses on medical malpractice and liability defense. She has extensive experience representing healthcare providers and has successfully defended physicians, nurses, hospitals, and healthcare systems in courts throughout Virginia.

She has held a Martindale-Hubbell AV rating since 2012 and has been recognized by Virginia Super Lawyers, Virginia Business magazine's "Legal Elite," and Best Lawyers in America. Virginia Lawyers Weekly has named her to its Lists of Influential Women, Leaders in the Law, and Go-To Lawyers for Medical Malpractice.

In addition to her litigation practice, Elizabeth served as a substitute judge in Virginia courts from 2008 to 2015 and was the second-youngest president and only the second woman to serve as president of the Virginia Association of Defense Attorneys.

Established in 1952, the American Bar Foundation is an independent, nonprofit research institute dedicated to advancing the understanding of law and legal institutions through research at the intersection of law and society.

Elizabeth's selection as an ABF Fellow recognizes her accomplishments as a trial attorney, her contributions to the legal profession, and her longstanding service to Virginia's legal community.
