As part of Law.com’s ongoing series highlighting newly appointed law firm partners, Woods Rogers Principal Nick Mirra shares insights from his career, his recent elevation, and advice to junior attorneys coming up through the ranks. Nick was elected as a principal at Woods Rogers in January.

As vice chair of the firm’s Emerging Growth team, Nick highlights his work in helping startups with "flexible, founder-friendly legal services that help them build correctly from the start.” He writes, "The goal is to grow with clients as they scale, positioning them for sustainable operations, successful funding, and smoother exits when they sell or acquire businesses. It is rewarding to see the full life cycle and know the legal foundation we helped create supported that trajectory.”

On what he hopes other attorneys will take from his experience, Nick says, "The performance expectations are high, and the work can be intense, but what distinguishes people is the consistency of their professionalism and client service. Be responsive, transparent, honest, and reliable. When clients call, it is often because something feels urgent to them, and they need to know you are present and engaged.”
