Nick Mirra Named a 2025 “Up & Coming Lawyer” by Virginia Lawyers Weekly

Recognition

Woods Rogers is pleased to announce that Nick Mirra, Vice Chair of our Emerging Growth practice, has been named to the 2025 “Up & Coming Lawyers” class by Virginia Lawyers Weekly. The “Up & Coming Lawyers” program recognizes attorneys who, in their first 10 years of practice, have been making a name for themselves and displaying the determination and accomplishments that establish them as leaders of the future.

Businesses are often faced with making difficult decisions and have complex needs. Nick has developed key skills in specific areas of law to better serve those needs, with a focus on finding clear, tailored solutions for his clients. He has facilitated complex business transactions in a diverse set of industries including health care, biotechnology, commercial real estate, tech startups, franchises, food service, heavy construction, government contracting, and nonprofits. Nick also enjoys assisting businesses with their corporate governance and other day-to-day opportunities, challenges, negotiations and dispute resolution.

Nick began his career at Woods Rogers as a summer associate in 2017 and returned as an associate in 2018. He graduated cum laude from the University of Richmond School of Law, where he served as Editor-in-Chief of the Richmond Journal of Law and Technology and was a National Finalist in the ABA Alternative Dispute Resolution Competition.

Nick currently serves as the Chair of the Virginia State Bar Fee Dispute Resolution Program for the 23rd Judicial Circuit, and as the President of the Alumni Society for Christopher Newport University.

Honorees will be celebrated at the awards ceremony on October 30 at the John Marshall Ballrooms in Richmond.
