Victor Cardwell Appointed to the Virginia Law Foundation Board

Victor Cardwell, Woods Rogers Principal and Chairman, has been appointed to a three‑year term on the Virginia Law Foundation Board. He joins a distinguished group of leaders committed to advancing an accessible, affordable, and fair legal system across the Commonwealth.

Victor’s appointment reflects more than three decades of leadership within Woods Rogers and the broader legal community. As co-chair of the Labor & Employment Practice Group, he advises executives and HR leaders nationwide on complex employer issues, with particular focus on diversity, the Fair Labor Standards Act, labor–management relations, and workplace violence prevention.

His service to the profession extends well beyond his practice. Victor became a Virginia Law Foundation Fellow in 2025—an honor reserved for Virginia lawyers who exemplify the highest ideals of the law and demonstrate an exceptional commitment to public service. He is a past president of the Virginia Bar Association, serves on the Virginia State Bar’s Board of Governors for its Diversity Conference, and was inducted into the Roanoke Law Foundation Fellows Program in 2018.

Victor’s appointment to the Virginia Law Foundation Board is a testament to his impact, and we are confident he will advance the foundation’s mission with purpose and vision.
