Victor Cardwell Inducted into Virginia Lawyers Hall of Fame
Woods Rogers is pleased to announce that Victor Cardwell, Principal and Chair of the Board, has been inducted into the Virginia Lawyers Hall of Fame Class of 2026 by Virginia Lawyers Weekly. Victor’s induction reflects not only his legal acumen, but also his lasting influence on the profession and his commitment to elevating the practice of law in Virginia and beyond.
The Hall of Fame recognizes attorneys with 30+ years of practice whose contributions have meaningfully shaped the legal profession in Virginia. Victor stands out not only for his deep knowledge of labor and employment law, but also for his trailblazing leadership, including serving as the first African American president of the Virginia Bar Association.
Throughout his distinguished career, Victor has been a trusted advisor to executives and HR leaders on some of the most complex issues facing employers today, including harassment, discrimination, workplace investigations, retaliation, and workplace violence. He is widely recognized for his strategic judgment and practical solutions.
Honorees will be recognized at an awards ceremony in Richmond on April 30, 2026, and Victor will be featured in an upcoming issue of Virginia Lawyers Weekly.
